Herve cheese has been admired by cheese lovers since the Middle Ages. Its square shape, orange color and typical aroma characterize an authentic cheese, inseparable from the region that gave birth to it: the Pays de Herve. Val-Dieu Herve Doux belongs to the family of soft, washed-rind cheeses. This means regular ripening, as each cheese is washed and turned several times over a 4-week period.
Traditionally, Fromage de Herve is enjoyed on a slice of bread with Liège syrup, accompanied by a cup of coffee.
