To find out more
Val-Dieu Herve PDO is a cheese with character, distinguished by the unique flavors of its terroir and the know-how handed down from generation to generation.
This soft, washed-rind cheese is matured in a cellar for several weeks, during which it is turned and rubbed. This long, methodical ripening allows the cheese to acquire a slightly oily, orange rind, as well as its typical taste and smell.
Traditionally, Herve cheese is eaten on a slice of bread with Liège syrup, accompanied by a cup of coffee. Today, Fromage de Herve is increasingly used in simple and surprising recipes, because once cooked, its powerful taste softens to make us melt with pleasure!
